Hi! My name is Alberto, a mechanical engineer specialized in physical-based simulation.
I am looking for remote opportunities as simulation engineer or data scientist.
If you need more information, you can contact me by email:
  • Research engineer Nov 2016 - Oct 2021 University King Juan Carlos and later on SEDDI.

Working on a 3D finite element model which would be able to reproduce the structural behaviour of fabric.
Although I did not develop the original simulation framework (original work),
    I introduced the following improvements:
    • Procedural generation of yarn patches.
    • Collision model.
    • Periodicity and periodic boundary conditions.
    • periodicity
    • Anisotropic material.
    • Stretch, bend and shear simulation of a continuous fabric.

    • shear

Simulation and comparison of different yarn-level models based on yarn typology.

Failure characterization of epoxy-carbon fiber joints.

Study of failure parameters using numerical and experimental test.
Study of the joint fracture toughness using numerical and experimental test.
